Thin Man
Thin Men are enemies that are encountered in XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Thin Man is the 2nd alien XCOM will encounter right after the Sectoid. Thin Men serves as infiltrators for the alien race. They do look like human, but when being researched and observed, these Thin Men are far from human. They are taller than most humans and very slender, and they wear formal clothing with extra glasses to cover up their reptillian eyes.Thin Men uses a Light Plasma Rifle as their main weapon. Amazingly, while other aliens in XCOM: Enemy Unknown that uses Light Plasma Rifle equips it with both hands, Thin Men only uses one hand to use the Light Plasma Rifle, even the Mutons uses two hands while equipping the same weapon, and they are bigger than Thin Men. Because of it's physiology, Thin Men can also jump in amazing heights. Also, another trait they possess is that when they die, they will emit a noxious cloud of green smoke that actually poisons anyone that is near the death position, except if they wear Titan Armor, or if they are a MEC. Another amazing trait is that these Thin Men have unusually high accuracy when firing even with one hand.


  • Counters Tacticians and gains Combat Reflexes when attacking or being attacked by Tacticians.
  • Vulnernable to Scrappers. Scrappers does follow-up attacks against Infiltrators and gains Close Quarter Combat when being attacked or attacking Infiltrators.

  • Attacks one enemy.
  • Energy plasma ranged attack.
  • Inflicts:
    • Pain: Increases damage taken by 8%.
    • Effect BG 1 RedEffect Icon 029Panic (20%): Chance to lose grip on reality, losing a turn and does random things, even attacking own teammates or enemies.
  • Special properties:
    • True Strike: Ignores most avoidance effect.

Poison Spit

  • 1 hit.
  • Attacks one enemy.
  • Ranged attack.
  • Inflicts:
    • Poison: Takes damage over time and reduces attack.
  • Special properties:
    • Effect BG 1 BlueEffect Icon 028Noxious Cloud: Chance to spread the poison to other enemies in the opposing team.

  • Debuffs one enemy.
  • Inflicts:
    • Effect BG 1 RedEffect Icon 016Suppressed: Accuracy reduced by 30%. If the target which is debuffed with this performs a hostile action, the target will be countered.

  • Debuffs all enemies.
  • Inflicts:
    • Effect BG 1 RedEffect Icon 001Overwatched: Attacks are guaranteed to be countered by the one that inflicts this debuff.
  • Grants:
    • (Self) Effect BG 1 GreenEffect Icon 061Overwatch: Counters targets debuffed with Overwatched, but with 30% less accuracy. However, only can counter once before being re-applied on the next turn.
